Press release Manav Sangrahalaya 14-01-15

Students from North-Eastern states, who participated in Balrang- 2014-15, met honorable Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Ram Naresh Yadav in leadership of Prof Sarit Kumar Choudhuri (Director, Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya). Governor thanked Prof. Choudhuri for inviting students from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas of far flung areas of North-East and shared his experiences with students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Amarkantak. The students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Peren greeted the Governor with a bouquet and gifted a Naga Shawl as a souvenir. The Governor gave students the best wishes of New Year and asked them to study sincerely and blessed students to serve the nation as a noble citizen. On this occasion, 20 students of Navodaya Vidyalaya, programme coordinator Balrang Mr. Rakesh Bhatt, Principle Secretary to Governor Mr. Vinod Semwal, Mr. Vineet Kapoor (ADC) and officials of Raj Bhawan were present.
In the evening, students from Nagaland were invited for tea by former Governor of Nagaland and Manipur, Shri O.N. Shrivastava. In the leadership of Prof Sarit Kumar Choudhuri (Director, IGRMS) students visited Shri O.N. Shrivastava at his professor Colony residence. Students were astonished to see the former governor in person, about whom they have only read in books and newspapers. The work done by Shri O.N. Shrivastava in Nagaland and Manipur is appreciated by all citizens including children. All children clicked pictures with former Governor and enjoyed delicacies served by Mrs. Shrivastava. Everyone showed their gratitude to Mrs and Mr. Shrivastava for the invitation.  Shri O.N. Shrivastava congratulated Prof Sarit Kumar Choudhuri for the pioneering initiative to invite students of north-east and said “In your able leadership this cultural heritage (IGRMS) will reach greater heights”.
