Preliminary Report on International Crafts and Cultural Fair (ICCF) at Bidadi, Bangalore.

The collaborative activity on International Crafts and Cultural Fair (ICCF) has begun at Innovative Film City premises at Bidadi, on 01-05-2015. The programme is inaugurated by Prof. Sarit kumar Chaudhury, Director, IGRMS, Bhopal by lighting the lamp. The other Guests of the inauguration ceremony were, Sri. Sharvana Prasad, Managing Director (Innovative film city), Smt. Upasana Mittal, C.E.O (Innovative Film City), Sri. Noor azman Bin Samsudin, Director (Malaysian Tourism Dept), Ms.Geethika, Co-coordinator, (National Craft Council, Srilanka), Sri. Tharadol Thongruang, Consultant of Crafts, Thailand.

The craft and cultural activity is scheduled from 01-05-2015 to 10-05-2015 for 10 days.  The scheduled of the workshop is from 10.00A.M to 6.00P.m and the cultural performances are from 5.00 P.m onwards. The art and crafts fair is combination of both Indian and international, the crafts men from Thailand, Srilanka, and Indonesia have come up with their traditional art and crafts. The Indian art and craft includes Pottery, Metal, Wood and Fabric items.

The IGRMS has sent about 11 cultural troupes of tribal and folk, from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamilnadu, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkand, Chattisgarh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura for this activity. The teams are scheduled to perform in three batches wise like 1^st May to  3^rd May , 2015 (Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamilnadu); 4^th May to 6^th May to 2015(Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, and Chhattisgarh); and 7^th to 10 th May,2015( Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura).

The first batch has performed the cultural activities as per the scheduled and the details are given below.

Andhra Pradesh : 1^st May, 2015( Chekka Bajana) 2^nd May,2015(Jada Kolatam ), 3^rd May,2015(Jada Kolatam and KrishnaLeelalu).

Karntaka  : 1^st May,2015(Garadi Gumbe),2^nd May,2015(Pada Kunita) and 3^rd May,2015(Somana Kunitha)

Kerala : 1^st May, 2015 (Thiruvadaraikali ),2^nd May,2015 (Oppana)and 3^rd May,2015(Sringari Melam )

Tamilnadu: 1^st, 2nd, and 3^rd May, 2015 (Toda Tribal Dance of Birth, Marriage and Tribal Festivals).
