A Ten Day programme on Mural Painting Tradition of Kerala is being organized at Bengaluru from February 7th to 16th 2015 in collaboration with National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS) in its premises. About twenty artists led by Mr. K U KrishnaKumar, Principal, Guruvayur Dewasom Mural Painiting Institute (Kerala) are attending the event. The workshop was inaugurated on 7th February, 2015 by Dr. K. K. Chakravarty, Chairman, Lalit Kala Akademi,New Delhi in the presence of Prof Sarit K. Chaudhuri, Director IGRMS. Other distinguished guests attended the inaugural function included Emeritus Professor S. Settar, Prof. R. Ranganathan, Prof. Sharada Srinivasan, Mr. Balan Nambiar, former Chairman Lalit Kala Akademi, Prof. Mamta Rao, National Institute of Design. Dr. R. M. Nayal, Mr. Ashok Vardhan and Mr. G. Jayaprakasan also attended the function.
