Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sanghralaya is observing ‘Official language fortnight’, in which various competitions and programmes are being organized. To promote Hindi in official works competitions and programmes like workshop on Unicode, Typing test Unicode, Essay writing and “Your 5 minutes” were organized.
A workshop on ‘Unicode: Establishment & Hindi works’ was organized by Smt. Pratibha Som (Official Language Officer) and Mr. Kulbahadur Thapa. In this workshop detailed information on Unicode was given from installation to sending emails with text in Unicode. The officials clarified their queries regarding use of Unicode.    
Essay competition was organized at Sangrahalaya’s library by Mr. Rakesh Bhatt (Asstt. Keeper). An essay on subject ‘Sampada’ was written by all the participants.
 “Your 5 minute” is a competition which was enjoyed by all employees and officers of the Sangrahalaya, where each participant was given 5 minutes to speak in Hindi. Mr. B.K. Chatterjee (Administrative Officer) and Mr. Arun Kiro (Asstt. Curator) coordinated the programme. Speakers entertained colleagues with jokes, songs and interesting information about lesser known topics.
