One week Commemoration of Komagata Maru Centenary started at Vancouver on 23^rd May, 2015 in a commemorative event attended by Joint Secretary (Culture), Shri Pramod Jain and Consul General of India, Shri Ravi Shankar Aisola.  In the memorial event which took place at Komagata Maru memorial at Vancouver Harbour, Canada, one MP, three MLAs and Solicitor General of the British Columbia  province were present, besides  prominent members of Indian diaspora.  Mayor of Vancouver presented a Proclamation for 23^rd May, 2015 as “Komagata Maru Day of Remembrance”.
