Today a Walk and Talk with Curator was organized in the 'Him-Lok' an exhibition on People and Culture of the Indian Himalayas. The curator gave talk about the concept, objects and stories related with this exhibition which is continuing from 22nd February onwards. Him-Lok exhibition is a combination of objects and photographs depicting the grand narration of people and culture of the Indian Himalayas. The vast-mountainous tract of the Himalayas in India, with its varying ecological conditions has not only acted as the center for meditation for the sages and other holy men, but also has given shelter to a large number of ethnic groups with diverse cultural identity and social formation.

In the afternoon a documentary film screaning of 'Le Maharaja Et Les Tribus Du Bastar' was organized at Avritti Bhawan of IGRMS. This documentary was shot during the Dussera Festival at Jagadalpur, Chhattisgarh in October, 2012. it has been shown five times on the French Educational Public Channel in January, 2014, in the slot dedicated to ''Art and Civilization''

the main topic of the film was the building of the holy Dussera chariot dedicated to goddess Danteshwari, and all the process, from the choosing of the special tree, to the construction of the Chariot by the dedicated carpenters and blacksmiths. The film was in French language. Dussera is a festival among the various communities of Bastar and is closely related with their Goddess Danteshwari Devi and the erstwhile king of Bastar. Every year a new chariot is made for the festival. This year after the festival IGRMS acquired this chariot, dismantled it and transported to Bhopal for installation as exhibit in the open air exhibition. Artists from Bastar are assembling this chariot at present in the museum premises. They were also present during the documentary film show. This film show aptly contextualized the exhibit known as Dussera chariot.
