Naga band ‘Purple Fusion’ and Hornbill dance rocks Bhopal!

On the last day of 40th Foundation Day celebrations of Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, 120 traditional artist from five tribes of Nagaland performed traditional dances and songs, making the Holi evening memorable for all. Later, the international fusion band from Nagaland ‘Purple Fusion’ rocked the stage with it performances. On this occasion, Chief Secretary, Govt of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Anthony De Sa was also present.
The traditional artisans commenced their performance with Hornbill dance. Followed by performance of traditional dance of Chakhesang Nagas, ‘Maku he Nangichi’  a Sangtam tribe folk dance and Warrior dance of ‘Ao Naga’tribe.
After the traditional dance performance, Purple Fusion commenced their performance with ‘Ho hey ! you came along’ song which won them Akadamia music awards Los Angeles, California. The next number ‘Ohe Lohe’ also an award winner at Best Folk Fusion Artist at the Radio City Freedom Awards. The next, ‘Roko’ a Hindi song was an eye-opener song asking youth to walk the talk.
Purple Fusion: Purple Fusion is a Folk Fusion band from Nagaland, India that delves and experiments with Naga traditional folk chants. The Band was formed with an aim to promote the rich tradition and culture of Nagaland, India in the form of fusion music. Purple Fusion incorporates indigenous ethnic music with genre of the west like Blues, Jazz, Funk, Reggae and rock to create a blend of music which is different and unique from what we usually get to listen to in this modern electronic age. They have collaborated performing with some of the biggest names in the international music industry as well as in India like John W Schlitt – Petra (Grammy award winner) Rahul Ram – Indian Ocean, Rabbi Shergill, Vishal J Singh, Jimmy Pitts, Vijay Xavier, Germany based Music Producer – MoTo etc. Purple Fusion in Just few year span of time has performed Abroad and has toured in some major cities of the country and have toured almost the whole of NE states. Purple Fusion has worked with MTV India on Mtv Sound Trippin S2 with Music Producer – Sneha Khanwalker, where the lead singer Lamtsala was the main act for one entire episode and has also had aired several time’s on VH1 and Mtv for their music videos.
