The Indian Museum, Kolkata is on its 202nd  year and as part of its various  multifarious activities the Museum is organising an all day program on the International Women’s Day, on 8th March, 2016.

Accordingly, we have decided to make a women gathering with the motive to heal themselves, heal each other, and heal our planet. They will gather in ways that are native to their community or go through a process to transform wounds into wisdom and empowerment. This global gathering will unleash a wave of feminine presence that will nourish families, communities, and the world at large. Artisans from different avenues like handicrafts, dokra, pottery making, sitalpati weaving, etc will also participate.

There will be a Panel Discussion on the theme, Pledge for Parity at the Central Courtyard (from 5.30 p.m.) of the Museum by women luminaries, from different walks of life.
