The nation celebrates 28th February as the National Science Day in commemoration of Sir C. V. Raman’s world famous discovery “Raman Effect” published on the same day in the year 1928.

Birla Industrial & Technological Museum shall be inaugurating a travelling exhibition on ‘ Understanding the Universe’ along with a number of educational activities involving school students, on Saturday, February 28, 2015 to mark this important event. They are as follows:-

i. Painting Competition on “Conservation of Energy” for juniors and on “Light & Life” for seniors from 10:30 am

ii. Inauguration of the travelling exhibition on ‘Understanding the Universe’ at 11:00 am

iii. Innovative Idea Contest: Powerpoint presentation of 10 minutes duration of Innovative ideas on Science & Technology at 11:15 am

iv. Motivational Talk by Prof. Somak Ray Chowdhury, Presidency University and Shri Aniruddha Sinha, TCS Innovation Lab at 11:45 am

v. Open House Science Quiz at 1:00 pm

vi. Science Film Show on “Sir C.V. Raman” and on “Environment” at 2:15 pm

v. Prize Distribution Ceremony at 3:15 pm
