The NGMA family is deeply saddened with the untimely demise of the celebrated Indian sculptor Mrinalini Mukherjee, affectionately called as Dillu, on Monday 2nd February 2015 after a brief illness. With knotted surfaces, intertwined in a rhythmic approach incorporating deep folds, crevices and flaps as well as her unusual play of forms and textures in the bronzes and ceramics, her sculptural legacy will be forever remembered.
