Kuthuhalam 19: Kalarigram’s annual summer camp for 08-15 year olds

Namaskaram!

Kalarigram looks forward to hosting young warriors this summer from May 01- 15 with this unique summer camp experience. Children get an opportunity to engage with both the practice of Kalaripayattu as well as its lifestyle and philosophy in the serene gurukulam atmosphere of Kalarigram.

This year we are exploring various mediums of art and activities, encouraging children to discover their body and mind, explore and observe their emotions and perceptions, in a safe non-judgmental relaxed atmosphere. As they engage ways of observing the world around and within them, they also learn ways of expression, to confidently tell their own unique stories.

Community living and learning, simplicity, developing self-reliance and resilience are part of the Kalari way of life, and inherent to the camp imagination. And the entire experience will be held together by a collective of artists, and led by the Kalarigram philosophy.

This is a space to be creative, to learn to accept and trust one’s Self which is vibrant and unique. At the end of the camp, we hope they would have sparked within themselves an imagination of their own individual journey, and expanded the sense of their connection to the larger world around them.

We call out to children and parents to get in touch quickly, to be a part of the journey this summer.
