Jetian – Rajgir Heritage Walk

Jetian – Rajgir Heritage Walk: A 13 km long Heritage and Peace Walk had been organized by Nava Nalanda Mahavihara, Nalanda on December 13, 2014 following the footsteps of the Buddha from Jetian to Rajgir. A large congregation of 1,200 people from 13 different countries had joined the Heritage Walk to make it a grand success and thus contributed in reviving the lost heritage of the ancient Buddhist places. The walk concluded with plantation of bamboo saplings at Veluvana (Bamboo groove) by the Venerable Monks and Nuns. The programme had been co-organized by Department of Youth, Art and Culture, Govt. of Bihar; Light of Buddha Dhamma Foundation International (LBDFI), USA; International Buddhist Confederation (IBC), New Delhi; Bodhgaya Temple Management Committee (BTMC); Mahabodhi Society of India and Sarvodaya Group, Patna.
