Invitation for the Exhibition Cosmology to Cartography, National Museum,11 August 2015, 5:30 pm
National Museum is pleased to invite you to the opening of its special exhibition Cosmology to Cartography: A cultural journey of Indian Maps on Tuesday, 11th August 2015 at 5:30 pm at the Auditorium, National Museum.
The Exhibition will be inaugurated by Hon'ble Minister of Culture, Dr. Mahesh Sharma in the presence of Shri Narendra Kumar Sinha, Secretary, Culture and His Excellency Richard Rahul Verma, Ambassador of USA in India.
The Exhibition has been organized in collaboration with Kalakriti Archives, Hyderabad and has been curated by Dr. Alex Johnson and Dr. Vivek Nanda. It charts the journey from mythological visions of the Universe, gradually reaching the accurate scientific representation of modern India illustrated through maps.
