The Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya and other museums of the city under the banner Forum of museums is organizing various programmes and activities to mark the International Museum Day on 18th May 2015.

The Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya and other museums of the city under the banner Forum of museums is organizing various programmes and activities to mark the International Museum Day on 18th May 2015.
 
The programmes at IGRMS will begin with inauguration of a special exhibition on ‘Museums of Bhopal’ mounted at Rock art Shelter Exhibition gallery of Manav Sangrahalaya. Marking the day, Sangrahalaya is organising a colloquium on the theme ‘Museum for a sustainable society’ at Rock art Conference hall of IGRMS at 11.30 pm. The exhibition and the Colloquium will be inaugurated by Mr. Ashwini Lohani, Commissioner & MD, MP Tourism. On the evening of 18May, 2015 renowned Kathak dancer from New Delhi, Miss Shrinjini Kulkarni will perform Kathak at Veethi Sankul Indoor auditorium from 7pm.  
 
On 19th May, a ‘Treasure Hunt has been organised in the museum premises from 8.30 am. The interested people can register themselves with Mr. Sudhir Shrivastava(Publication Officer) – 9479438303. On Monday, 18th May 2015 all the exhibitions will open and entry all the programmes are free.
