Event :WORKSHOP - "Managing Risks in Cultural Heritage" Towards a sustainable conservation of cultural heritage
The Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands (RCE) and the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts in New Delhi have developed a workshop that focuses on the practice and discussion of risk-based decision making to optimize the management of collections and buildings. The workshop is sponsored by the Mutual Cultural Heritage (MCH) program of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

Event :Kathakar - International Storytellers Festivalin collaboration with
Nivesh, an NGO which conceptualised the Annual Travelling Literature Festival, ‘Ghummakkad Narain’– in the year 2010
The festival will showcase national and international storytellers from different regions of the world and will featurestories from histories, epics, social themes, folk tales, tales from animal kingdoms and much more.
Participating storytellers will be:

Under the Outreach initiative the IGNCA Book Circle has a monthly event held on the fourth Thursday of every month from 4:00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
On 22nd January, 2015, Ms. Sumedha V. Ojha will talk about her book “Urnabhih”.
Ms. Sumedha V. Ojha graduated with honors in Economics from Delhi University’s Lady Sri Ram College and a Gold Medalist in Sociology from the Delhi School of Economics.
Her first book, “Urnabhih, A Mauryan Tale of Espionage, Adventure and Seduction” based on meticulous research over many years has recently been published by Roli Books and launched by Namita Gokhale in Delhi. She is currently working on her second book on the Mauryans and researching a long term project for a series of books on the many kingdoms and dynasties of Ancient India.
