Director General, NCC visits Manav Sangrahalaya

Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sanghralaya is working for national integration, and promotes research and training for salvage and revitalization of vanishing but valuable cultural traditions. On September 19, 2015 Director General of National Cadet Corps, Lt. General A. Chakravarty, VSM visited Manav Sangrahalaya.  On this occasion the DG visited the habitats of Rathwa, Chakhesang Naga & Todas in Tribal Habitat Exhibition and later visited all 12 galleries of Veethi Sankul indoor museum. After the visit, Lt. General Chakravarty said “Every student should come here to see and learn about India’s rich cultural heritage. Manav Sangrahalaya is doing an exemplary work by displaying the culture and heritage of far flung areas of our country”. The DG was accompanied by Maj. General Amarjeet Singh (ADG, MP &CG Dte, NCC) and other senior officers of Army and Navy.
The DG and the senior defence officers were guided through the visit by Director, IGRMS, Prof. Sarit Kumar Chaudhuri, Assistant Curator Mr. Arun Kiro, Lt. Col. Nitinraj Deshpandey (In charge Security Unit) and other anthropologists.
